If you do not feel up to venturing out on the region’s waters by yourself, you are in luck when you choose Clover Pass Resort as your Alaska fishing outfitter. We offer guided fishing packages with expert charter boat captains who have vast experience on the inside passages. They will take you to some of the best fishing spots and do their best to help you land the catch of which you are dreaming, whether it is a Chinook salmon, halibut or cod.

If you would feel comfortable out on the water without one of our guides, then our self-guided option is right for you. When you choose this option, you become the captain of your own 14-foot skiff to venture out onto the waters of the inside passages. Our expert guides will give you some direction before you depart. The calm waters are the main routes for salmon returning to spawn in their native rivers – pink, chum, silver and the elusive king or Chinook salmon.

When you have finished a fun-filled morning of fishing, you can return to Clover Pass for an afternoon nap or hot lunch. After a break, you might want to venture out again for another shot at bottom fish such as halibut, who you hope will want to make a meal out of your herring. The waters surrounding Clover Pass entreat you to incredible scenery – making your angling excursion both a fishing and a sightseeing adventure.

In addition to our guided and self-guided saltwater fishing packages, we also offer guided freshwater fishing packages that include outstanding floatplane sightseeing with fantastic fishing. During your flight to a remote fishing area, you will have a birds-eye view of towering granite walls, glacier carved fjords, snow-melt lakes and more. While on one of our freshwater excursions, you will have the opportunity to land a variety of fish, including grayling, steelhead, Dolly Varden and rainbow, cutthroat and brook trout. It does not matter if you are a novice or expert angler, our guides will show you the ropes, guiding you to some of the best fishing spots.
The remote fishing sites where we take anglers during our freshwater adventures are only accessible by air, meaning that your party will most likely be the only other fishermen you see. Our freshwater excursions provide a true feeling of peace and serenity. Multiple-day freshwater packages allow anglers to fish in a different location each day. These once-in-a-lifetime fishing packages include all the equipment you will need. Each package price is based on a group of four. Additional charges might apply to any group smaller than four.

If you want to experience both Alaska saltwater and freshwater fishing during the same trip, then book one of our combination packages that include both freshwater and saltwater fishing. Prior to your arrival, decide how you would like to split your trip, deciding how many days you would like to saltwater fish and how many days you would like to freshwater fish. Whichever way you prefer to split your trip, we can customize it to fit your interests – even the species of fish you seek.
